Educational Qualification:

1. Chief Fire Officer / A
Educational qualification: HSC (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks + Passed Divisional Officer’s Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur.
No. of years of relevant experience: 12 years (06 years as DCFO) OR
Educational qualification: B.E in Fire Engineering with minimum 60% marks
No. of years of relevant experience: 8 years (06 years as DCFO)
2. Technical Officer / C (Computers) – Educational qualification: B.E / B.Tech from a recognized university in any of the following engineering branches with minimum 60% marks.

5. Sub-Officer / B – Educational qualification: HSC (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks + Passed Sub-Officer’s Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur. Persons having valid Heavy Vehicle Driving license will be given preference.
No. of years of relevant experience: 12 years (5 years as Leading Fireman) OR 15 years (as Fireman/Driver-cum Operator/DPOF)
6. Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum Fireman/A (DPOF/A) – Educational qualification: HSC (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks + valid Heavy vehicle Driving license with minimum one year driving experience + certificate course in fire-fighting equipment such as Fire Extinguisher etc from the State Fire Training Centre.

2. Technical Officer / C (Computers) – Not more than 35 years

Salary Details:

1. Chief Fire Officer / A – Rs. 67,700 in Level 11 of Pay Matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
2. Technical Officer / C (Computers) – Rs. 56,100 in Level 10 of Pay Matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
3. Deputy Chief Fire Officer / A – Rs. 56,100 in Level 10 of Pay Matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
4. Station Officer / A – Rs. 47,600/- in Level 08 of Pay Matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants
5. Sub-Officer / B – Rs. 35,400/- in Level 06 of Pay Matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
6. Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cumFireman/A (DPOF/A) – Rs. 21,700/- in Level 03 of Pay Matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.

NFC Fireman Selection Process 2023:

NFC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

Post Codes : 12301 (Chief Fire Officer /A)-Level -11 of Pay Matrix and 12303 (Dy. Chief Fire Officer /A) – Level -10 of Pay Matrix: 1. The applicants who fulfill the requirements will be called for Physical Standards as per Table – 1 (Mentioned in Notification). 2. Those candidates who meet the Physical Standards will be allowed to appear for Personal Interview. Final selection of the Candidates will be based on the performance of the candidates in Personal Interview alone.
Post Code : 12302 (Technical Officer /C [Computers])Level-10 of Pay Matrix:  Depending on the number of applications received, if necessary, a Screening/Written Test will be conducted for the eligible candidates in order to shortlist the number of candidates to be called for Interview. Final selection of the candidates will be based on the performance of the candidates in Interview alone.
Post Codes 12304 (Station Officer/A) – Level-8 of Pay Matrix:  1. The applicants who fulfill the requirements will be called for assessment of Physical Standards as per Table – 1 (Mentioned in Notification). 2. Those who meet the Physical Standards will be called for Physical Assessment Test and Command Test as per the criteria laid down in Table – 2 (Mentioned in Notification). 3. Those candidates, who qualify the above tests will be allowed to appear for Personal Interview. Final selection of the Candidates will be based on the performance of the candidates in Personal Interview alone.
