TNPSC Jailor Eligibility Criteria & Salary Details: (As on 13.10.2022)
| 1. Jailor – Essential Qualifications: Any Degree awarded by any University recognised by the University Grants Commission. Provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to the candidates possessing a Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration and next preference shall be given to the candidates possessing Master’s degree in Social Work. Note: (i) The educational qualification prescribed for the posts should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the following order of studies: 10th + HSC or its equivalent + Bachelor’s Degree as required under Section 25 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016. Results of the examination should have been declared on or before the date of notification. Age Limit: (As on 01.07.2021) 1. SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories – No Maximum Age limit 2. “Others” [i.e. Applicants not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/ DNCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs] – Must not have completed the age of 32@ years. Provided that in case of candidates who possess a Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration or a Master’s degree in Social Work, the upper age limit shall be 37 @ years. Pay Scale: Rs.36,900 – 1,35,100 (Level 18) (Revised scale) |
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. TNPSC Jailor Selection Process 2022:
The recruitment process will consist of (i) Computer Based Test Method, (ii) Oral Test in the shape of an interview
